What will it take for the Flyers to win this evening?
A. Holding onto the damn puck. There have been so many turnovers, the Flyers could open their own bakery. Seriously.
B. A little more faith in what's left. There have only been two teams in the history of the NHL to come back after a 3-0 deficit in the playoffs. Only twice. But there's a hell of a lot of talent on the Flyers, even though two big names are out (Coburn out again for the game tonight). They just need to realise that they have the potential to win.
C. Flyer'd up fans. The Flyers seem to rise and fall with the reaction of the crowd.
D. Movement. The Pens are a quick team; we need to keep up.
E. Creativity. The same thing does not work over and over, especially with a team that has been studying us all year long.
F. A change of pace. The line changes tonight will be a little shaken up, which will change the style and connections between players. This should make a huge difference. John Stevens learned that when the Flyers had fallen into a losing streak right before the playoffs; he moved everyone's things around in the locker room, and they played like a whole new team the next game. Change keeps the boys from falling into a rut.
G. A case of Taskykakes. The boys have enough motivation to make it, however, they need a little fun. They boys are good at creating a little side action on the ice for the fans, and it will be entertaining if a few fights, and a little backbiting were to pop up. It'll get the fans going, and the boys will feed off of that energy.
Only an hour until game time. I'm ready; I hope the Flyers can say the same about themselves.
