Bowling Post: ToC vs USOpen

Not as bad as I thought.

You know how your mother used to threaten you with the Boogeyman when you were a little kid? Like if you didn't eat your veggies or some such? Well, the Tournament of Champions oil pattern is kind of the Boogeyman of bowling. The Boogey pattern, I guess.

ToC is nearly fifty feet of honest-to-God FLAT oil. And it was the namby-pamby kind of thin crap your sanded reactive eats through in sixteen frames; no, no, this stuff was heavy.

They had a tournament there, but I just bowled by myself on the pattern, just to see how we would match up. My father and I bowled terribly on the house shot (I haven't bowled much on house shots, and I HATE them), so we figured it can't get any worse.

A 200 and a 215 later, I realised I had a gift. And ability to beat the hardest pattern in the world. It was glorious fun; I even beat my father two out of two.
